04 / BEFORE YOU CONNECT

Good questions.

Which mailboxes can I connect?

Gmail is the first supported provider. Each user can connect up to ten mailboxes, including multiple Gmail accounts.

Does Trace change my emails?

No. The current Gmail integration is read-only. Trace stores recent message metadata, snippets, labels, and flags; it does not send or modify mail.

Can I read messages in Trace yet?

Message reading is planned. Today, you can connect Gmail accounts and manage synchronization. Message bodies and attachments are not stored.

How do I get an account?

Choose Create your account and register with an email and password. Trace signs you in automatically, ready to connect Gmail.

What happens when I disconnect?

Trace stops synchronization and removes local Google tokens. Previously cached metadata is retained, and your original Gmail messages stay untouched.
